Goodbye Book Room, Hello Prayer Room

Share Article

We are so excited to be opening a new prayer room and garden for our church family.

It is, of course, set aside to be a place of prayer, but that means it’s also to be a place of encounter, refreshment, peace and joy; a place to be still and know God.

We are convicted and convinced we should pray more. God is inviting us to cry out to him like never before for gospel breakthrough.

“The very act of prayer is a blessing…To pray is to enter the treasure-house of God and to gather riches out of an inexhaustible storehouse.” Charles Spurgeon

“Prayers outlive the lives of those who uttered them; outlive a generation, outlive an age, outlive a world.” E. M. Bounds

“The wonderful thing about praying is that you leave a world of not being able to do something, and enter God’s realm where everything is possible. He specializes in the impossible. Nothing is too great for His almighty power. Nothing is too small for His love.” Corrie Ten Boom

“Prayer, in many ways, is the supreme expression of our faith in God.” Martyn Lloyd-Jones

There are areas to sit and rest, pray for the nations, our locality, our ministries (e.g. Foodbank, New Acre Cafe, CAP Debt Centre, Little Stars), children and youth, and revival.

In time we hope to open up the prayer room beyond our church family and dream of it becoming a place of 24-7 prayer.
