EXPERIENCED PASTOR

Westminster Chapel is entering an exciting new season of ministry. With a clear vision of filling London with followers of Jesus, we are seeking an experienced pastor to join our staff team and, in time, lead the eldership team, providing directional leadership within a healthy plurality of elders. This is an opportunity to offer long-term spiritual leadership in one of the world’s most diverse and influential cities.

Located in the heart of central London, Westminster Chapel is a vibrant evangelical church with a rich history, an international congregation, and a strategic ministry extending well beyond Sunday gatherings. Our leaders oversee a significant city centre ministry, steward a complex operational environment, and enjoy close relationship with Commission Global, alongside wider partnership with the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC).

We are looking for someone energised by the opportunities of city ministry, who loves working with people from many cultures and backgrounds, and who is excited by the privilege of serving Christ in London.

We are seeking a mature Christian man with at least ten years’ experience serving as an elder or pastor, a proven gift for preaching, and a track record of developing leaders, strengthening churches and leading alongside others. The successful candidate will be wholeheartedly aligned with the theology and values of Westminster Chapel, Commission Global and the FIEC.

The successful candidate will be invited to attend elders meetings and, following an appropriate period of ministry, and subject to the agreement of the existing eldership and church membership, it is anticipated that he will become an elder of Westminster Chapel and, in time, lead the eldership, helping to provide long-term spiritual leadership for the church.

A full list of necessary conditions are included in the Job Description below. Some include:

  • Wholehearted alignment with the theology, values and ministry practices of the Newfrontiers family of churches.
  • Experience serving churches with a similar level of complexity to
    Westminster Chapel.
  • Right to work in the UK.
