We're going away!

Between the 21-23 August we are setting off to Canterbury to spend three days of relaxed time together, full of worship, social time, learning and fun.

Our desire is that anyone can come, which is we will keep the cost affordable.

Moments like this, where we spend extended time together, are wonderful ways to strengthen our community and get to know one another better.

We would love you to join us – even if you’re pretty new to the church. Find out more below…

Where are we going?

We are heading to the medieval city of Canterbury and staying on the campus of Kent University. It’s about 2hrs (train or car) from central London.

Address: Park Wood, University of Kent, Nickle Court, Canterbury CT2 7WU

(You will need to find your own way there and back. Travel won’t be included in the ticket price, or organised for you. See below for travel suggestions)

What to expect

ACCOMMODATION

We'll be sharing modern, self-catering flats on the University of Kent campus.

Each flat will be equipped with a breakfast box for all guests, allowing you to enjoy your morning meal at your own pace before our daily activities begin.

Each guest will get their own ensuite bedroom. There will be a mixture of twin bedrooms and double bedrooms.

MEETINGS & MEALTIMES

Woody's (picture above) will be our hub for the weekend.

This is where we will enjoy our meals, worship services and downtime together. It's on campus, within a short walk of our accommodation.

It's a spacious and welcoming venue, with indoor seating, outdoor terrace, social space and a dining area.

Local attractions

There's a lot to do within a short car or bus ride.

You could take a stroll into Canterbury,
or a quick journey to the seaside!

We're keeping things relaxed on the Saturday afternoon, and anticipate different groups organising their own informal plans.

Fun n' Games!

Right next to our accommodation is the university's leisure centre, where you can book a gym session or a badminton court.

We won't formally organise activities, but there will be a lot of time for people to arrange their own games of football, or early morning gym sessions!
